Living Proof!

 Called and Gifted, indeed!

I want to introduce everyone I know to my new friend Matthia. Thanks in part to the recent Called and Gifted workshop, where I was re-acquainted with this most talented of women, and since then through a series of happenstance and circumstance, I am pleased we have been able to connect on so many levels. Firstly, she lives her charism around art, beauty and goodness. Her subject, The Way of the Icon: Encountering its Mystery and Meaning is her life and means of expressing deep beliefs in a very powerful way.
Not only that, but she lectures, gives courses, retreats and workshops. She is adept at personalizing any gathering to suit a theme or direction. Her retreats are intended to be deep and moving but full of a sense of freedom as well - silence characterizes such retreats. Her courses are appropriately designed for the level of the specific attendees and workshops ordered to prayer and practice and the mystical realities relating to one's human personal vocation. Her workshops are dynamic and include presentations, hands on, and prayer practice. Add her to your list of resource people for speaking and presenting!
Find Matthia Langone  and learn more about her.  I was blown away by the extent of her artistic talent. Not only can she create such beauty, Matthia can teach it. I don’t have a creative bone in my body but can truly appreciate it in others!
Matthia will be teaching a course this summer at VST which will explore the Icon’s history and meaning and the whole process of its painting technique as a spiritual discipline and will include hands-on exercises. No previous artistic experience is needed; materials will be provided for a minimal fee. Register now!
And there will be more! Matthia deeply appreciates the Stewardship Way of Life and has ideas to enhance our efforts  in the Archdiocese – I look forward to wherever the Spirit leads us next!
